As the world's largest free newspaper, Metro wanted to create meeting spaces to reflect their fast-paced, urban vibe that would reinforce their identity as a distinct team, but that would also fit in with the wider brand of their parent publishing house. Key to the project was to create a unique character and ambiance for each meeting room in their head office in South Kensington. Along with our expert design team we injected colour and texture to the surroundings to create individual spaces, whilst maintaining the functionality of the office environment. We reused and reconditioned much of the existing furniture to minimise costs and the environmental impact: reupholstering a sofa and seating blocks in the colours of the Tube seating underpinned the affinity with the target, metropolitan audience.  We also introduced acoustic panels to complement the interior design by providing visual interest at the same time as reducing ambient noise levels to create a more productive working environment
